Training Sessions

Word Processing for Absolute Beginners

If you want to learn the basics of word processing and don't even know how to make a capital letter this is the series for you.

The new information is provided at a pace that suits the group and you will have many opportunities to ask those annoying questions and to practice the new skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. There will be lots of tips to make the tasks easier.

The series consists of three 2-hr. sessions. You must be able to attend all sessions, as each session builds on the last.

What you will learn

  • Get hands-on experience using a mouse and the keyboard.
  • Introduces the fundamentals of word processing using Microsoft WordPad.
  • Learn how to create, edit, print and save simple documents, how to change the font style and size of text, and how to align text on the page.

Sessions are free, but advance booking is required as spaces are strictly limited.

Sessions are held at the Ipswich Library, Redbank Plains Library & Redbank Plaza Library.

Sessions are finished for 2009. Please check back in early January for the 2010 Training Schedule.

To book our Training Sessions e-mail trainer@library.ipswich.qld.gov.au or phone (07) 3810-6772.
