Web Tools for Parents

The 2nd generation of the Web is here! Discover the latest Web 2.0 tools to help make your child's school work stand out! Learn about the latest Web 2.0 gadgets that can help make your child's homework time easier, including Del.icio.us, RSS feeds, iGoogle, Your Tutor, cyber-safety and more. This session is ideal for parents of students from Yr. 7 to Yr. 12.

What you will learn

  • the latest online tools that your child can use for school projects, including tagging, RSS, blogs, etc.
  • tips for keeping up-to-date with new technologies
  • free online resources from the Library web site that your child can access 24/7, including Your Tutor
  • cyber-safety tips for parents

These are 1 hour stand-alone sessions.

Sessions are free, but advance booking is required as spaces are strictly limited.

Sessions are held ONLY at the Ipswich Library, 40 South Street, Ipswich.
