Scanning - Getting Started

Do you have boxes of old photographs and 35mm slides hidden away in cupboards? Open a treasure chest of memories and bring your photos or 35mm slides into the digital world.

What you will learn

  • How to use the library scanners to scan your old photos or 35mm slides.
  • Rename and save files to your USB memory stick.
  • Explore print options with Windows Picture Viewer.
  • Write photo files to a CD ROM for long term storage.

Participants will need to bring pictures and/or 35mm slides to scan and a USB memory stick to save their scans.

The series consists of three 2-hr. sessions. You must be able to attend all three sessions, as each session builds on the last.

Sessions are free, but advance booking is required as spaces are strictly limited.

Sessions are held ONLY at the Ipswich Library, 40 South Street, Ipswich.

All sessions are currently fully booked. Please check back in early January for the 2010 Training Schedule.

To book our Training Sessions e-mail trainer@library.ipswich.qld.gov.au or phone (07) 3810-6772.
