Home Library Service

The Home Library Service is available to residents of Ipswich who are confined to the home for a genuine reason such as ill-health, frailty or disability.

Home Delivery
Books, magazines, talking books and other library material can be delivered to your home on a regular basis. Library staff select resources which suit your requirements. Community volunteers deliver these to your home at a time that is mutually convenient. This service is free. Call (07) 3810-6754 to arrange a delivery.

Temporary deliveries after hospitalisation or illness can be arranged.

Bulk Loans
Resources may be borrowed in bulk to service the requirements of Nursing Homes. Each service is tailored to suit the needs of the individual Home with careful selection of material by Library staff. Further information is available by phoning (07) 3810-6754.

Volunteers
The delivery of items by the Home Library Service relies heavily on the support of volunteers. If you are interested in delivering Library materials to the housebound please contact the Special Needs Officer on (07) 3810-6754.
